Part 1 of the Book Of Truth

When discussing the attempt to discern the true total financial position of the Catholic Church there are three things that immediately make the task extremely difficult:

(1) The lack of transparent accounting and disclosure by the Catholic Church of all its assets;
(2) The prevailing belief that the Catholic Church is principally dedicated to good, in spite of a few �bad apples�; and
(3) The belief that any attempt to discern the truth is automatically anti-christian, immoral and hurts genuine good work.
