Recently The Irish Times ran a very interesting piece by its Berlin correspondent, Derek Scally. It dealt with how the radical left in Germany from the 1960s right through to the 1980s campaigned to legalise sex between children and adults.

This history has come to light because of child abuse scandals that took place in the recent past at a left-wing boarding school in Germany called Odenwald. The abuses at this school were revealed when the German media earlier this year began to turn its attention to abuse scandals involving Catholic priests.

The German press at least had the honesty to throw its net wider than simply the Catholic Church. However, with only one or two exceptions, the international media reported only the Church's abuse scandals. Those involving the German left were ignored. Scally's article was based on a much longer report in the German magazine, Der Spiegel, called 'The Sexual Revolution and Children: How the left took things too far'.

The article detailed how, in the ultra-permissive climate of the sex revolution, radical leftists decided children were also in need of 'sexual liberation'.

To this end they founded a new form of kindergarten called kinderladen. The aim of the kinderladens was to teach young children radical left-wing politics, to acquaint them with 'anti-authoritarian' attitudes and to help them rebel against 'repressive', 'bourgeois' notions about children's sexuality.

A great deal of what took place in these kinderladens simply can't be reported in a family newspaper such as The Irish Catholic but here is one of the milder passages from the Der Spiegel article describing what typically used to happen in just one kinderladen in Berlin in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

The passage reads: ''The educators' notes [from the kinderladen] indicate that they [the teachers] placed a very strong emphasis on sex education. Almost every day, the students played games that involved taking off their clothes, reading porno magazines together and pantomiming intercourse.

Provoked

''According to the records, a 'sex exercise' was conducted on Dec 11. An entry made on Nov 26 reads: 'In general, by lying there we repeatedly provoked, openly or in a hidden way, sexual innuendoes, which were then expressed in pantomimes, which Kurt and Rita performed together on the low table (as a stage) in front of us.''

Children were encouraged to fondle each other and to fondle adults.

These kinderladens started in Berlin but later spread to Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg and Stuttgart, and eventually to smaller cities like Giessen and Nuremberg.

The movement to 'sexually liberate' children was not isolated to fringe left-wing groups. It had political influence, especially among the German Greens as the Der Spiegel article also reports:

''The Greens were not long immune to the argument that the government should not limit the sexuality of children. At its convention in LÏdenscheid in 1985, the Greens' state organisation in the western state of North Rhine-Westphalia argued that 'non-violent sexuality' between children and adults should generally be allowed, without any age restrictions. 'Consensual sexual relations between adults and children must be decriminalised', the 'Children and Youth' task force of the Green Party in the southwestern state of Baden-WÏrttemberg wrote in a position paper at about the same time. Public protests forced the party to remove the statement from the document.''

Student radical

To this day, Daniel Cohn-Bendit, who was a student radical in the 1960s and 1970s, and who worked in one of these kinderladens, is co-President of the Greens in the European Parliament. The Greens in Ireland have never repudiated him.

Nor was this movement restricted to Germany. In Britain something called the Paedophile Information Exchange (PIE) was a member in the 1970s of the National Council for Civil Liberties. PIE was dedicated to legalising adult/child sexual relations.

In America, the North American Man-Boy Love Association (NAMBLA) - also dedicated to legalising adult/child sex - enjoyed a certain vogue for a time and was a member of one of the biggest gay rights movements, the International Lesbian and Gay Association (ILGA) right up until 1993.

NAMBLA at one point could count among its supporters the renowned beatnik poet and radical, Allen Ginsberg. Ginsberg is beloved of the left to this day.

In France in 1977, the newspaper Le Monde carried a letter signed by 69 luminaries including future Culture Minister Jack Lang and the philosopher Jean Paul Sartre demanding the release of three men accused of having sex with under-age children.

If 13-year-olds have the right to get the Pill, they asked, surely they have the right to have sex with whomever they want, including adult men?

Justifying

As late as the mid-1990s influential magazines such as The New Republic in America were still carrying articles basically justifying sex between adults and pubescent boys. Even today, the film director Roman Polanski has very influential defenders despite pleading guilty to the statutory rape of a 13-year-old girl in 1978.

No-one pretends that the child abuse scandals carried out by priests of the Catholic Church, and covered-up by their superiors are not horrifying and outrageous. But for several decades prominent leftists established schools in which children were sexually abused all the while actively campaigning for the legalisation of adult/child sex.

This shameful history needs far more exposure than it has so far received.

OPPOSING candidates admit they have more of a ‘mission impossible’ than a sporting chance against Tony Abbott and Joe Hockey in the Federal Election.

The candidates from minor parties say they simply can’t win and can only hope for a protest vote in the blue-ribbon seats of Warringah and North Sydney.

Only Sex Party candidate Austen Tayshus has the audacity to suggest he could beat Mr Abbott.

Mr Abbott has three rivals from minor parties, plus Labor, for the seat of Warringah, including Secular Party candidate Kenneth Cook who wants voters to protest against “religious dogma”.

Mr Hockey also has four rivals including Australian Democrat candidate Daniel Pearce who says people are glad to at least see the Democrats back on the hustings.

The Warringah seat has been held by Mr Abbott since 1994.

It has been a Liberal seat since it’s inception in 1922, apart from Percy Spender, who was an Independent for three years until changing to the United Australia Party (Liberal Party predecessor) in 1940.

Mr Tayshus said while he was well-aware the seat was “very conservative”, he believed he had a good chance to win.

“People are sick and tired of the facade of Tony Abbott. He winds back time,” he said.

Mr Tayshus said Mr Abbott’s “conservative” views on abortion were “ridiculous” and would not go down well with young voters.

“I also want an investigation into the child abuse in Catholic Schools but of course (Mr Abbott) will never agree to that because he’s best friends with (Cardinal) George Pell.”

Mr Cooke said the only person that had a chance to win the seat was Mr Abbott, but he decided to enter to let people express their dismay at the influence religion has in politics.

The North Sydney seat has been held by Shadow Treasurer Joe Hockey since 1996, when independent Ted Mack retired after six years in the seat.

Before that, the seat was held by Liberal-style politicians from 1910.

Mr Pearce said he knows he can’t win the seat but wanted to enter to give people an alternative.

He said people had come up to him during the campaign saying “I thought (the Australian Democrats) were dead. I’m glad you’re back”.

Survivors of Clergy Abuse Australia (SCAA) say survivors of sex assault at the hands of priests are outraged by what is seen as Julia Gillard’s buy-back of Catholic votes.

“Since the announcement of Gillard’s taxpayers donation to fly Catholics to Rome for the Canonisation, emails and phone calls have poured into SCAA’s office. Victims and their supporters are stunned at such a blatant attempt at buying back votes with funds that would be more appropriately spent on groups who actually support victims of catholic priests and brothers!” stated Peter Gogarty, of Australia’s national support and lobby group for victims SCAA.

“SCAA is completely funded by our Founder with the measly gesture she was given by the Church for her years of abuse at the hands of her parish priest, and Julia Gillard can’t even provide a single dollar to support this group or any others like it!” Gogarty continued.

There are thousands of known survivors of clergy about around Australia who could benefit by the $1.5million Gillard has given the richest business in the world. “I’m quite sure that Mary McKillop would be hugely imbarrassed by all of the fuss and expense surrounding her canonisation. And all of us victims are 100% certain that she would prefer that $1.5million go to supporting survivors, instead of flying wealthy catholics to Rome for a holiday!”

SCAA and its national network of survivors and supporters receive no funding from anywhere, including the Catholic church or the government. However, this much needed service (the only of its kind in the country) must continue or “more survivors will die” says Peter Gogarty, himself a survivor.

“For Julia to throw around cash like this so frivolously is a further insult to victims who are struggling simply to make ends meet. Victims are often so damaged that they were unable to complete school and continue on into successful careers, so, in their 40’s and 50’s truly find it difficult to compete for the small amount of jobs available against their younger, more educated peers. The thought of hopping on a plane to Rome is only a dream for these victims.” Peter explained.

The Australian government has not at any point made any attempt to provide funding or support for the countless victims of sex abuse at the hands of the catholic church, so this extravagant offer is further driving the knife into the hearts of thousands of victims.

Catholic victims were also sadly neglected when Kevin Rudd made his public apology to the forgotten Australians. “We are the ‘forgotten Australians that Australia continues to forget!” is a statement often used by SCAA volunteers.

SCAA has made numerous attempts to speak with many members of government to discuss the devastating plight of Catholic victims, and seek some sort of assistance in the form of support/funding, or possibly an apology. Repeatedly their requests for meetings go unresponded to.

It seems that Catholic victims numbers are too few to be included in the Gillard Vote Buying Scheme – thousands of victims will tell you that the $1.5 million is certainly not directed to where Mary McKillop would want it to go.

An admirable politician, Nick Xenophon, has his knickers in a twist about Adelaide’s tiny Agape Ministries Cult.

Which is fair enough, for they do brainwash their adherents. But that is nothing new. The Catholic Church (and the other ‘mainstream’ churches) have been doing this for thousands of years, right under our noses. Politicians say prayers at every opening session of parliaments here in Australia!

Everything about the Agape Ministry loonies of which Nick rightly complains is happenning 10,000 times more often, with far more severe and dangerous consequences in the various ‘normal’ churches, especially the Catholic churches, who clearly systematically employ terror and vicious threats to frighten their adherents into subservient compliance, and to extort money from them. They are so clearly a terrorist organization within the strictest meaning of the law that it could hardly be more clear!

They are all superstitious terrorist cults. Every one of them.

He should concentrate on removing subservience to these toxic cults by:

1. Immediately terminating prayers in parliament
2. Immediately rescinding automatic tax exemption for religious organizations
3. Instigating the arrests of every Catholic Bishop under the various terrorism provisions.
4. Recovering the proceeds of crime from the churches.

…before targetting the minority lunatic sects.

The RCC is causing real damage1, and has caused some very real damage, (up to and including the willful genocide of the original inhabitants).

Rabbitte calls for Ahern to support archbishop's 'plea'

THE MINISTER for Justice supported a recent claim by the Archbishop of Dublin that there were attempts to cover up clerical child sex abuse.

Dermot Ahern said: “Like everybody else, I took on board the sentiments expressed by Dr Diarmuid Martin.”

Labour justice spokesman Pat Rabbitte referred to Dr Martin’s “courageous remarks”, adding that he had an admirable track record on the issue.

Mr Rabbitte said more weight ought to be attached to his words when he said it was his view that powerful forces within the church were still covering up the evil of child sex abuse.

Mr Ahern said he agreed Dr Martin’s words would have to be taken very seriously when referring to those dark forces.

If it was the case there were people still railing against the type of new structures put in place, it was an issue, primarily, for the church authorities to deal with, he added.

Mr Rabbitte pressed the Minister to extend the commission of inquiry into the Dublin archdiocese to other dioceses in the State.

Mr Ahern said the commission was currently investigating the Cloyne diocese.

There was an ongoing Garda investigation into how church and State authorities handled clerical sex abuse and the commissioner would consult the Director of Public Prosecutions about possible criminal liability when it was completed, he added.

The HSE was completing an audit of Catholic dioceses to ensure it was fully aware of all abuse cases known to the church.

Consideration of the results of all those investigations would include what further action would be required, including a possible extension of the commission’s remit, Mr Ahern said.

Mr Rabbitte said the response from the Minister was disappointing, given the gravity of the issue. It was deeply troubling, he said, that Dr Martin felt it necessary to go public with trenchant remarks about covering up evil in society.

“What more could one have expected from the archbishop other than going to the top of Croagh Patrick and crying out to the heavens for help?

“He is saying in black and white that these crimes are still being covered up.”

Mr Rabbitte suggested this was an argument for the Minister to act and pick “a diocese like Raphoe, which is reported to have been rotten with this problem”.

Some of the cases had been ventilated in public, he added.

“Why does the Minister not take his courage in his hands and direct that the particular diocese would be investigated to support the plea that I take Dr Martin to be making to the civil authorities?”

Mr Ahern said any extension of the investigation would involve costs to the exchequer.

The Dublin investigation had cost in the region of €4.4 million to date, excluding third-party costs.

The cost of the Cloyne investigation is in the region of €1 million so far.

“The question of extending it to 21 other dioceses, or even the diocese of Raphoe, would incur additional expense,” Mr Ahern said.

He added that the decision was a matter for the Government.

A political and religious ultimatum re the clergy sex abuse crisis

It is easy to determine the agenda of political and religious leaders, it is easy to see where their agendas lay in their response to the global clergy abuse crisis.

The difference really comes from working with others who are genuinely motivated and genuinely directed.

The difference comes in many ways, it comes from things like this

The difference comes when we look at the church. There are those who look at the crimes, the criminals and child safety. There are also those across the theistic divide whose focus is not of freedom to decide but of ownership and who decides.

The decisions can be clearly made when you look at the pathways and offered or available in opposing camps.

From those of us on this side of the theistic divide we simply see those who wish to repair what is broken beyond human despair. We see a range of battles in progress over all things that help us digress from the facts that this god as represented has simply failed and those who attempt to persist in the face of global failure and inability to respond are simply bound to tread the same cycle yet again. There is and can never be genuine peace within the religion which has deceived and distorted society to such a degree simply to maintain the power and the control that their deceived view has brought to us.

That the issue of bishops orchestrating and colluding on such a process is condemning enough yet they continue to argue, to obfuscate and to avoid this issue. The experiment for humanity of the current system of Christianity is simply a failure and has led to the wholesale sexual abuse of our children. What deranged people are we that we should permit the arguements and consideration of the notion of ownership on the belief in a god should stand in the way of a single global policy of child safety and protection.

We are current met with a cabal of men who are unable to see through their own mist that this is the most socially destructive event society could find itself facing. This must surely not have missed the bishops, presidents and prime ministers, the United Nations our judiciary and the very ideal of democracy are all able to be cast aside for a group of deceived men attempting to cling to their failed god and the power it has previously brought them. No amount of repair from within can ever hope to peacefully bring such a polluted and corrupted system back into power and control of our political and policing systems, our health and community services instead their privilege of being a favored source of health, education, job and community services should be stripped from their hands whilst this problem remains unresolved and until each and every victim has been afforded proper justice under the rule of the laws of their country.

Not even God, Catholicism or Christianity must be permitted to stand in the way of genuine social reform. The very reform we have heard endlessly from our political leaders, from our religious leaders and from our community leaders for so long yet here we are on the doorstep of a very real possibility for humanity to take a step forward into the future. Their is no place in the future for a damaged, unable to self repair religion, its god, its creeds, its leaders and its followers. In light of the facts of the global clergy abuse crisis we would simply be considered interplanetary fools.

The proper thing for the Catholic church to do is to simply step down and return all that it has been provided with to the people it came from after it has made full restitution to those harmed. Battles for leadership of a broken religion are simply battles for leadership, battles for control of a broken religion are simply battles for control. If the political world does not shift in line with the requirements of the rights of children and the law instead of the rights of a broken religion to operate as it sees fit within our country draws a clear line for the people to judge by for it is no longer acceptable to expect avoidance of this issue or to expect digression at every step of the way nor should we have to expect more divergent indignation and mock outrage - instead we should be seeing leadership, we should be seeing men and women in parliament standing up and speaking out about these crimes. Responsible politicians, responsible health and education leaders, responsible policing cannot permit the religious beliefs of a segment of our society to determine the course of the future of humanity.

Benedict understands that the church must stand down for the sake of humanity and the entire human race. This global clergy abuse crisis we face is no longer a religious issue it has now become the most critical social issue humanity has encountered. Currently our politicians, policing and our community leaders are failing us as if they were defending or protecting us we would hear from them. Their silence today on this issue quickly and efficiently states their position and their unspoken agendas.

Ask you politicians, your political leaders, your police commissioners and you health and education leaders do they stand on the side of the children and their future or do they stand on the side of the broken and socially destructive Catholic church? Ask them where are their policies to deal with this systemic crime.

Let their words and their actions determine if they represent the children and the future or if they represent a broken and sexually dysfunctional catholic church.

Italian politicians rally to pope's defense

ROME � Italy's foreign minister has rushed to Pope Benedict XVI's defense, while Italian newspapers labeled foreign media reports "attacks" for questioning what the pontiff might have known about the pedophile clergy scandal rocking Europe.

Italian politicians predictably have rallied to defend the pope in the face of reports that Benedict allegedly allowed a pedophile priest to do pastoral work while he was Munich archbishop � though even a top Vatican official has complained that a "culture of silence" in Italy may have masked sexual abuse by clergy in what is effectively the Vatican's backyard

Foreign Minister Franco Frattini denounced as "scandalous and shameful" the allegations that the German-born pontiff might have failed to protect parishioners on his watch. Senate President Renato Schifani called the "attacks on the pope unacceptable and unworthy."

The church plays an important role in a country chronically short on public services for children, from nursery schools to recreation programs to summer day care. Generations of boys and girls have spent countless hours kicking soccer balls or romping in playgrounds, gardens and auditoriums run by neighborhood priests.

But the political class might be out of touch with some of their rank-and-file citizens.

The Catholic voter bloc in Italy is "absolutely not" what it was immediately after World War II, when Christian Democrats dominated Italian politicians, said Frank Coppa, a historian and professor at St. John's University, New York, who has studied the papacy as an institution.

"I don't know if they reflect the broad" populace anymore, Coppa said in a telephone interview Monday.

And while Italian media referred to the foreign media scrutiny as "attacks," citizens were less critical.

"The foreign press is simply stating the truth, something that never happens in Italy when it comes to the Catholic Church," said 23-year-old Florence sales clerk Valentina Cappellucci, sitting Tuesday on the steps of a Jesuit church in Rome.

The mainstream Italian media have largely ignored the trial in Rome of an Italian priest accused of sexually abusing seven boys.

"While there are priests in prison, and priests on trial, (and) certainly the phenomenon in Italy is very much widespread, part of this phenomenon lies buried by these attitudes toward the church," Nino Marazzita, a lawyer who represents two of the boys, told Associated Press Television News Tuesday.

The Vatican's own "prosecutor" for clergy sex abuse, Maltese prelate Monsignor Charles Scicluna, recently acknowledged that he was "worried about a certain culture of silence that I see as still too widespread" in Italy.

The Catholic tea party's bitter brew

As a new sex abuse scandal in the Catholic church appears to implicate Pope Benedict XVI, across the Atlantic conservative Catholics have more parochial concerns.

Catholic Advocate, a political group founded by former George W Bush campaign aide Deal Hudson, is calling for a "Catholic tea party", its own clone of the conservative agitators whose chief contention is that the US is on the march to becoming a socialist dictatorship.

The Catholic world is rocked by a seemingly endless parade of scandals, from Ireland to Munich, and now Mexico, where the Rev Marcial Maciel Degollado, late founder of the secretive Legion of Christ, is accused of being "a sexual criminal of epic proportions who gained the trust of John Paul II and created a movement that is as close to a cult as anything we've seen in the church", according to reporter Jason Berry.

But for the Catholic tea partiers, the Democratic party � and even the US conference of Catholic bishops (USCCB) � are the targets of contempt for, it claims, promoting contraception, abortion, and same-sex marriage.

Tea partiers insist their liberty is infringed upon by what they claim is a Marxist president and Democratic party. As divorced from reality as those claims are, Hudson � who touted his Catholic tea party plans at last month's conservative political action conference � is insisting that Catholics need to follow suit. A Catholic tea party, he claims, would counter what he apparently considers the backsliding of the USCCB on Vatican teaching, and would provide Catholics with their own political advocacy group so they don't have to merely follow the lead of politically active evangelicals.

But Hudson, whose own sex scandal led to his departure from the Bush campaign in 2004, doesn't have much new to say about healthcare reform. On that he is buoyed by a constellation of other anti-abortion and religious right groups; he's been hammering at the tired and debunked claim that all Democrats want is to force women to have abortions and make taxpayers foot the bill. Like the rest of the religious right, Hudson has zeroed in on the abortion issue, insisting in a recent email, "passing nearly limitless taxpayer funding for abortion is among [the Democrats'] top priorities."

While even moderate Catholic groups in the US are fed up with the bishops' refusal to endorse the current healthcare reform bill over the abortion funding issue, Hudson maintains the bishops are too liberal. Catholic Advocate claims that the USCCB's Catholic campaign for human development, which funds social justice projects, is actually supporting contraception, abortion, and same-sex marriage. Because some of the community groups that receive funding from the campaign do not follow Catholic teaching, Hudson, along with other far-right Catholic anti-abortion groups, have launched a campaign to stop "money donated by hard working Catholics to be used against teachings of the church".

The Catholic Advocate's argument is a variation of the far-right distraction to derail healthcare reform: that if one penny of your tax dollars goes into a pot that might pay an insurance premium to an insurer that covers abortion, then the whole world will cave in under the weight of its own moral decay. Like the non-Catholic tea party's most self-promoting provocateur, Glenn Beck, it's taking a swipe at social justice Catholics as being the fringe hippies of their faith. Hudson may claim to be the Catholic purist in the room, but for many American Catholics his tea is a bitter brew they'd never drink.

TO DECLARE oneself an atheist has seemed not just acceptable, but even fashionable in recent years.

British evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins is a celebrity. Books refuting any claim of a divine creator are bestsellers. And this weekend, Australia's first non-believers conference is being held in Melbourne.

But there is one place where atheism is not yet a subject for polite conversation: politics.

The Sun-Herald surveyed federal and shadow ministers to see who would own up to being non-believers.

Only three of 30 federal ministers confessed: Health Minister Nicola Roxon, Defence Personnel Minister Greg Combet and Financial Services Minister Chris Bowen. A spokeswoman for Ms Roxon said: ''Her father was Jewish, her mother was Church of England and she went to a Methodist high school.''

Of the shadow ministers, none identified themselves as atheist. By contrast, the 2006 Census found about 19 per cent of Australians have no religion.

Finance Minister Lindsay Tanner was the only open agnostic, which means he is uncertain about the existence of God. Mr Tanner describes himself somewhat cryptically as an ''agnostic Anglican''. A further 15 government ministers declined to comment or refused to respond, while 10 identified as Christian.

Treasurer Wayne Swan described himself as a ''non-practising Christian, saying he believed ''values, rather than religion, are important in public life''.

''[I'm] not really religious; I'm an Anglican,'' said Mr Tanner, who believes the public is generally tolerant of their politicians' beliefs.

Clearly, it doesn't seem to be a problem if someone is openly religious: almost every week, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd is photographed emerging from a church, and Opposition Leader Tony Abbott is a proud Catholic. NSW Premier Kristina Keneally is a devout Catholic and her Victorian counterpart, John Brumby, said he ''believes in God''. ''As for federal Greens leader Bob Brown, he is a ''lapsed Presbyterian''. But adding weight to the suggestion that the Greens turn their crusade for the environment into a faith, Mr Brown's office said that his religion was ''believing the fate of the Earth is in our hands''.

In Brisbane yesterday, Independent senator Nick Xenophon said he would keep challenging the Church of Scientology's right to be recognised as a religious organisation.

Senator Xenophon said it was a cult and not a religion, adding he would continue to pursue the organisation because former members had become ''victims'' of its practices.

''I want to be quick to acknowledge that Scientology is just one organisation in the community that can be rightly described as a cult,'' he told a forum on cults at Brisbane's Parliament House.

Child abuse in high places...

A few days ago in San Diego a 30 year old sex offender by the name of John Albert Gardner was arrested for the rape and murder of Chelsea King, a 17 year old high school student. This crime has received national attention and will continue to receive attention until the man is sentenced and most likely put to death.

What will not receive national attention are similar crimes committed by men and women who are supposedly pillars of their communities. These crimes are being committed day in and day out with apparently no hope of ever containing them. The question is why? What shields these well-dressed, well groomed perpetrators when monsters like John Albert Gardner would be skinned alive and lynched on the spot if they weren't in protective custody?

There have been books written by alleged victims of these high-end Illuminati criminals such as Trance: Formation of America by Cathy O'Brian, who claims she was a child sex slave for such high powered individuals as President George Bush, Sr, among other DC wheelers and dealers.

These sordid stories are difficult to believe under any circumstances. We do not want to think that our political leaders are into child abuse or ritual Satanic murder. After all, these are the people that are supposed to be looking after our welfare, right? But it seems to me that if they're raping and killing children they sure as hell couldn't care less what happens to the rest of us.

David Icke has no problem shouting this well kept secret from the middle of the village square. He has been delivering this information for years now with no real effect as far as I can see.

Icke has an interesting article on this subject that should be read by anyone who is outraged by any type of crime committed against children.

Google also has a video of a particular crime that happened some years ago. The video was scheduled to air on the Discovery Channel but pressure from high up kept this from happening.

After reading the article and watching the video you will ask yourself, how the hell do they get away with this?
